On Saturdays, Shane spends the afternoon at Pierre's general store. He goes there at either 5:00 PM after work, or at 2:00 PM when he's not working. You can find Shane drinking a beer at the saloon during the evenings. Once the community center is restored, he also spends a part of the afternoon there, before going to the saloon. You can find him there early in the morning during the week before he leaves to work, and very late when he leaves the saloon. Shane rents a room at Marnie's house in the forest.
You'll just have to catch him on the way to work or when he is leaving work. One thing to note here is that you can't give gifts to Shane during his work shift. Giving any of these items to Alex will result in an upset reaction. These are items that Shane doesn't like and won't react favorably to. These are items that Shane is neutral about. This can cause your friendship to go down, so make sure not to accidentally give him the wrong item. Shane likes the following and giving him other items will result in him being unimpressed, or in some cases, upset. "Oh wow, _! How'd you know this is my favorite?"
